This notice covers the personal-use Gmail news connector operated by the owner of mydropletbots@gmail.com. It does not describe every component of the owner’s wider research environment. The connector organizes news alerts for the owner’s private research. It is not offered to the public.
The authorized connector uses the Google Gmail API permission gmail.modify to read and manage messages. Google grants this permission for the entire authorized mailbox, not a particular sender or label, and it technically includes the ability to send email. The news component will not send email. Application checks restrict processing to the dedicated mailbox and expected news alerts; these checks are not a Google-enforced folder boundary.
As of September 8, 2026, bounded ingestion and verified archiving are active on the private Linux server, with intake scheduled every five minutes. Daily seven-day retention is scheduled. The connector reads mailbox identity, selected message metadata and headline-bearing messages. Data includes sender, subject, message identifiers, receipt times, authentication headers, parsed headlines and provenance. Trade-recommendation integration and automated external LLM news analysis remain off. This notice will be updated before materially different processing begins.
Information is used to verify news delivery and develop private news research. An eligible alert is archived only after its parsed research record has been durably stored and verified. Cleanup rechecks the original message and protection labels against the verified processing receipt. Read/unread status or labels alone are not proof of successful ingestion. Interrupted writes are reconciled against observed mailbox state rather than blindly repeated.
Unprocessed, failed, unrelated, starred, Important, draft and sent messages are excluded from automatic cleanup, as are unsupported attachments or templates and ambiguous sender evidence. Spam and messages already in Trash are not cleanup targets. The connector does not execute attachments or automatically open message links. News claims and ticker associations are not treated as verified facts merely because an alert was received.
Google stores the original emails. A daily bounded cleanup may move an eligible, successfully processed alert to Trash only after both its receipt time and its successful processing time are at least seven days old. Archiving removes the Inbox label but does not delete the email. The connector does not invoke immediate permanent deletion or empty Trash. Gmail normally permanently deletes messages after 30 days in Trash; the owner can recover them during that period. Newly processed alerts must complete the seven-day period before becoming eligible.
OAuth credentials are stored on the owner’s private Linux server with restrictive filesystem permissions. Refresh credentials are retained while the connection is needed. The collector stores parsed news and provenance, durable processing receipts and bounded diagnostics, not an unrestricted duplicate mailbox or attachment archive. The receipt store is limited to approximately 64 MiB and stops safely on missing, corrupt or full storage. Confirmed-trashed or missing-message records may be pruned locally after 90 days from discovery. Unresolved and protected records are not discarded simply to make room. Operational logs are separately managed by the server.
Gmail Trash retention is separate from local storage and infrastructure backups. Google and the server hosting/backup provider process data as necessary to supply their services. Retained server data may be included in backups, whose copies can outlive active storage until their applicable backup lifecycle ends.
Gmail content is not sold, used for advertising, published on this website or used to train general-purpose AI models. Owner-authorized development and support tools may be used to review limited diagnostics and selected samples to troubleshoot the connector. This authorization does not enable an automated external LLM pipeline for Gmail news content. Any future external news analysis requires a review of permissions, provider restrictions and this notice before activation. Google API information is used subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
The mailbox owner can remove the app’s access through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized API access but does not itself erase retained research records, diagnostics or backups, or restore messages already moved to Trash. Contact mydropletbots@gmail.com to request removal of connector credentials or retained connector data. Backup copies may persist until their applicable backup lifecycle ends. Removing local connector data does not itself delete original Gmail messages.
This informational Google Site contains no mailbox login form, private email feed or trading dashboard. No custom analytics, advertising or tracking scripts have been added by the operator.
